FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
A. The egg donor does not have to pay to be an egg donor. The prospective parent will cover all of the expenses. Most of all the expenses will be paid out of the trust account, with some exceptions. The cost of a single donation can vary significantly depending on several factors. If you would like to see a comprehensive cost sheet, please email or speak to a Genesis Group representative.

Q. WHAT IS THE TIMEFRAME OF THE EGG DONATION PROCESS?
A. Once the Prospective Parent(s) has decided to select an egg donor. The prospective parent(s) will have to sign a retainer contract and fully fund the trust account. Genesis will not be able to confirm the egg donor’s availability until this has taken place. Once contracts are entered and signed, the medical, psychological and genetic screening will take place. The screenings usually take about two to four weeks to complete. Once the donor has been cleared, independent lawyers will draft the legal documents for both the donor and the perspective parents. Thereafter, the donor will start her medication regiment, which can take up to three to six weeks. The IVF physician will be able to answer any medical questions you may have. If you do not have an IVF physician, you can speak to a Genesis Group representative and he or she will be happy to refer you to a physician/Nurse to speak to at no cost to you.

Q. IS THERE A REASON EACH DONOR HAS A DIFFERENT COMPENSATION RATE?
A. Donor fees can vary for several reasons. The donors may have higher compensation because she is a previous donor, a proven donor or a donor with extraordinary qualities.

The application will be reviewed and the donor coordinator will contact you. If you have any questions feel free to contact a Genesis representative.
